It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
Do you dream of a “greener” Christmas?
Merry, Merry Money!
Ho! Ho! Ho! Bring in the dough—your Christmas spirit and cheer can bring you cash—with these ideas for part-time seasonal work from your own home to supplement your income.
We are not making Christmas commercial, we want you to help bring joy to others while raising your income.
Each of these ideas is easy to start, you can start them from your own home so the overhead is low, you are your own boss and set your own schedule working from home, you just need together the whatever items and or tools you need. Depending on where you live, you probably would need your own transportation.
We give you the ideas which you can use and simply spread the word—tell friends and family, neighbors, people at your church, temple, or spiritual center, and people at work–and pass out flyers—and you have the start of a hobby mini-business.
Make sure to be business-smart, and type up a Letter of Agreement for your clients to sign, get a deposit etcetera, you know the drill. Use the resource of your local U.S. Small Business Administration http://www.sba.gov for valuable advice and information and local chapters near you.
After getting your feet wet so-to-speak, you can ramp it way up with the resources we provided you so that you can make these ideas into full-fledged, more serious seasonal part-time or full-time Christmas businesses.
(1) A Christmas Decorating Service: It’s time to Deck the Halls with boughs of holly with a Christmas decorating service. You can have a Christmas lighting service where you decorate people’s homes, both the interior and exterior—they provide the lights. You will need to provide tools and your own safe and reliable ladder to do the installation and hanging of the lights.
We recommend creating even more supplemental income by offering these four add-on additional services:
Decorating mailboxes
Decorating and hanging wreaths
Decorating and hanging holiday garlands inside homes
Decorating interior Christmas trees for your clients.
Resources to ramp it up:
Holiday Lighting Business Course: “Cashing in on Christmas” provides step by step training on how to set up a successful Christmas light installation business. There are four volumes plus business forms kit, marketing materials and lifetime updates available to buy online from http://www.CashingInOnChristmas.com
(2) Santa Claus Is Coming To Town: Rent or purchase a Santa Claus costume, which are readily available over the Internet and consider marketing your service to: Christmas Parties In Private Homes, holiday office parties, Hospitals, Retirement Homes, neighborhood shops and boutiques, Malls, and Christmas Tree Farms and stands.
If you prefer to work for someone else, and then see this list we created for you for places that hire. Of course you can do your own Internet search too.

(3) Holiday Bazaar: People love buying homemade gifts! Do you make crafts? Knit or Crochet? Make jewelry? Anything homemade or homespun can be sold at your own Holiday Bazaar.
You can even offer this as a “Christmas in July” prior to, or in addition to having a Holiday Bazaar in October, November and certainly early December.
Set up a festive and enticing table, (think garage sale or yard sale gone holiday) dress the table in a Christmas tablecloth or Christmas fabric from a craft shop for starters and hold the bazaar near your home just like a yard sale.
Advertise your Holiday Bazaar well and see our article “Turn Junk Into Cash By Having A Garage Sale” at the http://www.SecretsForMoney.info Archives for some very applicable tips for your Holiday Bazaar.
For even more cash opportunities, have a friend be your Holiday Elf and offer for a set price an on-site wrapping service (just set up another table with wrap, ribbons, and all the supplies needed.)
