It is vital to make your income go up in a time that the economy is taking a downturn. Here are some creative ways that not many people think of, or know about, to quick cash. All of these tips are geared for supplemental income—you can have your job or career—and still do any of these ideas. We have given you the ideas and some resources to get you thinking about all the opportunities out there!
(1) Ride in an advertisement: Promote products as you drive in a car that is wrapped in vinyl ads (some refer to it as an “Autowrap”) and get paid. An example of one of these companies is “Free Car Media” For more details and contact information go to http://www.FreeCarMedia.com
To be considered, click on their “Sign Up Now” option http://drivers.freecarmedia.com/regnow.cfm
In general, the criteria to qualify for these kinds of programs is that you have to be at least 18 years old, have a driver’s license and car insurance. Understandably the advertisers tend to choose people who drive a lot since they want their ads to be seen by as many people as possible. And typically the ad (s) have to stay on your car 24 hours a day—you can’t take them on and off—the ads go with you—wherever, and whenever you drive.
There are a few companies out there now who offer this service, so as always, it is important that you research carefully before deciding if this is viable for you and choosing which company to sign-up with. However, we are reporting on this company alone FreeCarMedia.com and it has been reported on by other media as well (see their website for those reports).
(2) Resale Shops: Sell your good-condition clothes and CD’s and DVD’s at resale shops. The resale clothing shops lean towards designer label clothes (men’s and women’s) for the best prices, but they do also look for men’s and women’s jeans and other clothes as long as your items are in very good condition—”lighter-used” is the trade phrase—certainly no missing buttons or zippers, and stain-free. Also they look to buy accessories like purses, belts, and hats.
The only tools you need is the Yellow Pages (whether the book or online) to find “Resale Shops” in your area, a phone, and a Driver’s License as proof of your identity , since some shops require that, but many do not. Call ahead to your list of stores, to ask what they are currently looking for, and if only certain seasonal items. Also make sure that they pay up-front for used items, and are not Consignment Shops.
We don’t recommend “Consignment Shops” only because the subject of this article is “Quick Cash” and with consignment shops, you have to wait to get paid for your items, and you only get paid if they sell your items. With the types of stores we recommend above, they pay you up front then they stock your items and sell them for you, so the waiting period to sell is on their time, not yours.
Also, using the Yellow Pages, also look up “Music Stores” and find the subheading “Used” and you are on your way to another profit center. Gather together your CD’s and DVD’s they command good prices too.
(3) Get Paid For Your Opinion: There is an entire industry called “Market Research Groups” where they pay for your opinion. After you answer their preliminary questions over the phone, if you qualify to be part of their group, you and the other people chosen meet at a specific day and time, typically for 1 to 2 hours and give your opinions to their questions as part of the panel of consumers, and afterwards they pay you by check.
Businesses hire Market Research companies to form these groups to do market studies of their products. There is a broad range of topics for products that can range from food such as cookies to beverages such as coffee to clothes or toys, even travel like cruise lines—since you are a consumer they want to know what you think! A great resource to find ads for this opportunity is http://www.Craigslist.org find the geographical area nearest you then under the category “Jobs” scroll down to you see the two different subcategories “Part Time” and “ETC.” Market research Companies list their ads for groups in both these subcategories. Make sure to respond to the ads quickly, because each ad only has a certain number of spots to sill for their specific group that they are holding.
(4) Deliver New Vehicles To Dealerships: There is a market for people to drive and deliver recreational and specialty vehicles from the manufacturing plants to the dealerships, RV’s are one such type of vehicle. So, you get paid to drive and typically air-fare home once your delivery is made. A Chauffeur’s license is mandatory in some states (you just take a simple written test) but you do not need a commercial driver’s license. There are approximately 3,800 transport companies, manufacturers and dealers that hire part-time drivers, one such company is Horizon Transport http://www.HorizonTransport.com (Toll-Free Telephone #1-800-320-4055). Visit their website and learn more about what the driver qualifications are and other specifics.
